Center Biographies

Alexia Kelley - Director, Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships

Alexia has served for over 15 years in faith-based and non-profit organizations dedicated to community organizing and development, poverty reduction, and social and economic justice.  Most recently she was the founding Executive Director of Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, a nonprofit faith-based organization that works to advance social justice issues and the common good in the public square.  She worked previously at the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, the US Catholic community’s national anti-poverty grant making program. Kelley is co-author of A Nation For All: How the Catholic Vision of the Common Good Can Save America from the Politics of Division (Jossey Bass 2008), and is co-editor of Living the Catholic Social Tradition: Cases and Commentary (Sheed and Ward 2004). Kelley has a B.A. in Religion with honors from Haverford College and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. 

Acacia Bamberg Salatti - Deputy Director, Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships

Acacia Salatti joined the Center for Faith-Based and Community Partnerships as Deputy Director on Monday, September 14. Acacia comes to this position from the office of House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn, where she was Lead Staffer for the House Democratic Faith Working Group (HDFWG). In addition, she handled the Congressman’s education, agriculture, and environmental portfolio. Acacia holds a Masters in Divinity and a certificate in Black Church Studies from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is also a former Adjunct Professor of Religion at Columbia College, her alma mater.
