Major Actions Taken to Date - On Thursday, April 9, Vice President Biden announced plans for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to make $300M available in vaccines and grants through the Section 317 Immunization Program.
- On April 9, the Vice President also announced the availability of nearly $2 billion for Administration for Children and Families' (ACF) Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG).
- On Friday, April 10, HHS Administration for Children and Families (ACF) announced $1B for the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG).
- HHS Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) has issued $778.5M in supplemental Medicaid grant awards for the third quarter fiscal year (FY) 2009.
- Cumulative disbursements for ARRA Medicaid FMAP funding total $12.2B, through Friday, April 10.
- OMB completed review of several HHS spending plans, and once necessary documents are prepared, funds will be released or funding opportunities will be made public.
